This year we are collecting shoes to put on the statehouse steps. These shoes will represent individuals that are currently receiving services through DDSN. We will also have piles representing those still waiting. Right now, we need about 2,500 more pairs. These shoes can be any size, style, shape or color. Please, everyone go through your closets, donate your children's out grown shoes. Ask your church family, friends and co-workers. After we use them on Disability Advocacy Day, we will take them to Alabama to Soles for Souls. The agency hires individuals with disabilities and will use the shoes to make sure others have shoes across the world. The South Carolina Autism Society is a 501(c)(3) organization, and a registered charity in the state of South Carolina. Almost 90% of total expenses go to program services.
